to be different? I mean seriously, I had to learn that the hard way.
It's hard in this industry when you look like every joe out there. My face isn't covered in piercings (except for my nose), I look like I'm 12, and I don't have that crazy rock star attitude. I love to do my job but sometimes it's hard when customers don't take me seriously as an artist!

So what did I do? Well, I bartered with the owner of a salon just next door to the shop. I decided I wanted a dramatic change; my change for a tattoo. Deal? No Deal. I thought going platinum blonde with some bubble gum pink streaks would really be super cool and dramatic. No. I look like strawberry shortcake took a major dump on my head. Yeah, customers are taking me more seriously now, you don't find many people like me in the area. But I don't feel like myself. I feel very different. I want to go back to normal.

On the flip side, the recession has really hit the industry hard. I guess I chose a pretty bad time to decide that this was my fate. It's all good though, if I can tough this out then I'll be fine. The money isn't good at all but I know that every shop in my area is hurting.

I got another kitty a couple of weeks ago. I named her Mao after my neice's favorite show on Baby Tv "Mio Mao". It's very hot here, I think the high today got up to 106 again. Not so sure, but that's hot enough for me. I'd rather it be super hot than super cold anyways. I'm hoping to have some more flash art up here soon, and some more of the tattoos I've done. No pics of myself though I'll be a brunette again soon...in about a week hopefully
